Melissa Zehner, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University in 2009. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The University of The Arts in Philadelphia.

Melissa has provided counseling for individuals across the lifespan and views human obstacles through a developmental and adaptive lens. She approaches psychotherapy as a reparative relationship. Therapeutic goals include: helping clients to connect more fully with their internal experience, developing adaptive skills and tolerance for handling discomfort and uncertainty, helping clients to develop a more authentic self in their relationships, and fostering relationships that uphold safe psychological boundaries. She employs somatic-based interventions including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction to help individuals achieve their goals and develop the means to reduce stress long after therapy has concluded. She is currently working with adults and couples.

“The pace of life is dizzying for most. Learning how to settle into stillness is an adaptive skill for our times.”
