Biography for Belinda Amatekpor, LPC.

Belinda Amatekpor, MA, MSEd, LPC is licensed by the NJ State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. She received her graduate degrees in Psychological Counseling (MA) and School Counseling (MSEd) from Monmouth University, New Jersey. Belinda also holds certifications in CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional) and ACS (Approved Clinical Supervisor). She majored in Psychology at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Belinda is our Clinical Supervision Director. She designs, plans and implements training programs for early career clinicians using the Institute’s unique Evolutionary Integrative Psychotherapy Model for training and supervision to provide a strong clinical foundation and an enjoyable experience that prepares clinicians for a successful clinical career.

Belinda Amatekpor has over 17 years experience as an adoption counselor, outpatient therapist, Intensive In-Community (IIC) in-home therapist, and in private practice. Her experiences lend to working with families including children, adolescents, individuals, and couples. She incorporates cognitive behavioral, client-centered, goal-oriented, culturally sensitive, and psychoeducational modalities. She is passionate about assisting clients with behavior change, managing anxiety and depression, and making healthy life choices. She integrates her experiences with compassion and genuineness in helping clients work toward health and well-being.
