Biography for Gayle Brown, LCSW.

Gayle Brown, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. She has more than 20 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker in a variety of settings including in-home, outpatient, school-based, and partial hospital program settings, and has provided individual, group, and family therapy. She has served clients from as young as 4 years of age through adolescence, as well as adults.

Gayle’s experience includes treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life-changes, adjustments, and family issues, along with behavioral conditions such as ADHD and oppositionality and defiance in children. She uses Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, along with various other modalities including mindfulness and solution-focused approaches. Gayle is collaborative in her work with clients; she offers a compassionate and judgment–free space where those seeking support can feel the emotional safety to express themselves openly and confront the challenges facing them. Interventions are individualized and intended to facilitate the exploration of issues impacting them and the development of the skills that can help them thrive.
