Sandra Henry, LAC

Sandra Henry, MA, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor at ITI-NJ. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Development - Clinical Mental Health from Walsh University in Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Primary Education from Ball State University in Indiana and a Special Education endorsement from Wright State University. Sandra is working under a licensed clinical supervisor at ITI-NJ to obtain the required supervised hours needed to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Sandra currently has dual roles at ITI-NJ, working both as an LAC as well as Intake Director for the practice. She has been with ITI-NJ for over 4 years. Prior to ITI-NJ, Sandra worked as a teacher of young children for over 12 years with children of all abilities. She has also worked in the real estate field as well as owned her own small business.

Sandra specializes in working with young children and their families, using play-based therapy to help navigate behavioral challenges, life transitions, including divorce and remarriage, anxiety, and depression. She provides virtual sessions for youth using a virtual therapy room. Sandra supports individuals of all ages who are coping with stress, depression, anxiety, divorce, and other major life changes. Sandra draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and person-centered techniques. She values building a positive therapeutic relationship with her clients and is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel encouraged and empowered in their journey toward healing. Sandra is currently practicing under the supervision of Evan Guetz, LPC.‍
