Kristin Justice, MS, MA, NCC, LPC, earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University and a Master of Arts in Psychological Services from Kean University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Kristin has provided therapeutic services across diverse settings, including student internships at Tully House’s residential inmate re-entry program in Newark, NJ, a hospice care facility in New Orleans, LA, and Rutgers University's Children’s Transitional Residential Center. Before joining ITINJ, she worked as a therapist at a New Jersey telehealth private practice. Kristin also brings over 10 years of experience in various Human Resources roles and serves as an Adjunct Professor in Monmouth University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s Program. Additionally, she co-authored a chapter on the importance of research and evidence-based clinical practices for a Routledge counseling textbook published in 2023.
Passionate about her work, Kristin is committed to empowering individuals to live a life of wholeness while highlighting the importance of emotional, spiritual, and mental health. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families, addressing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, burnout, life transitions, grief, trauma, and career development. Tailoring her counseling style to each individual, Kristin incorporates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered approaches, Mindfulness, Strength-Based approaches, Acceptance Therapy, and Grief Counseling. Creating a therapeutic atmosphere where clients feel seen, heard, and supported is essential to Kristin's practice. She provides a safe space where healing is an ongoing process, strength meets empowerment, rest is encouraged, and clients are supported in moving beyond surviving to truly thriving.
