
Coren Karpati, MA, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her graduate degree from New York University. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Montclair State University.
Coren has experience in diverse clinical settings, including intensive in-community counseling and school-based therapy services. She has worked with various populations including children, young adults, individuals with autism, and people within the LGBTQ+ community. Coren will also be pursuing her certification in sex therapy in the near future.
Coren structures her therapy sessions like a real conversation with a real person so her patients feel comfortable in meetings with her. She has an integrative approach utilizing a blend of theoretical frameworks including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Stance Theory. Coren’s goal in treatment is to support her patients in developing a positive internal relationship with themselves so they can make healthy choices and move through life in a way that facilitates growth and long-lasting positive change. She also helps her patients acquire the necessary skills to manage life’s challenges through a strength-based approach. She is also wholly committed to creating a relaxing, friendly, non-judgmental environment to support her patients’ therapeutic journey.
