Allison Mandel-Giampietro, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She earned her graduate degree from Rutgers School of Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College, City University of New York.
Allison has over 20 years experience providing services to adults, children and families. Her background is diverse and includes providing services to youth and their families in the home and in the community. Allison has experience in various treatment settings, such as alcohol and drug treatment, veteran centers, non-profit organizations, and hospitals.
Allison enjoys working collaboratively with clients to help improve communication, increase self-esteem, cope with loss and grief, and effectively manage emotions. Some interventions she employs include active listening, providing empathy, positive reframing, teaching and exploration and validation of feelings. Among the modalities she uses in therapy are CBT, DBT, Client Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, and Behavioral Therapy.
