Biography for Nicole Puglisi, LAC

Nicole Puglisi, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned her graduate degree from William Paterson University, Clinical Counseling and Psychology Graduate Program and previously achieved Bachelor’s of Arts Degrees in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Social Work from William Paterson University. Nicole is working under a licensed clinical supervisor at the Institute to gain the required supervised hours for her LPC licensure.

Nicole has experience working with diverse populations from childhood through adulthood assisting in the navigation of life’s challenges including physical health and mental health diagnoses. Nicole specializes in working with those who are suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma,grief and loss, navigating change and relationship troubles, as well as life threatening and/or chronic illnesses, with a special interest in treating those facing a cancer diagnosis for themselves or a loved one.

Nicole employs an integrative approach, utilizing an array of techniques deriving from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy while also incorporating a psychoanalytic and an existential approach. Nicole fosters a safe space where clients can comfortably heal and work towards a hopeful and healthy future.
