Biography for Breyana Sanders, Psy.D.

Breyana Sanders is a postdoctoral clinical psychologist. She received both her Masters and her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Saint Elizabeth University in Morristown, NJ. She also earned her BA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck NJ, where she majored in Psychology. Breyana completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at Integrative Therapy Institute and is working under a licensed psychologist at the Institute to gain the required hours for her counseling psychologist licensure.

Breyana has experience working with adolescents and adults in multiple settings including, a homeless shelter, a college counseling center,  community health agencies, and a private practice. Her areas of expertise include relationship dynamics, mood disorders, career counseling, trauma, emotional dysregulation and mental health concerns. Breyana’s approach to therapy is integrative, and she focuses on various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Breyana works with clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to help them bring about a more meaningful and fulfilling life. She has worked amongst people from various backgrounds and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment in which clients can work towards their goals.
