Benjamin Selesnick, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor, who received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Fairfield University, a Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Rutgers University-Newark, and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of New Jersey. Benjamin is working under a licensed clinical supervisor at ITI-NJ to obtain required supervised hours needed to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Before starting at ITI-NJ, Benjamin worked at a community counseling center, where he provided individual and group counseling to adults with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, and at an intensive outpatient program where he worked with adolescents with various anxiety disorders.

Benjamin provides both individual and group therapy services for adolescents and adults to address a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, substance use, and life transition issues. He has an integrative approach, which include aspects from cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered approaches, existential therapy, and strength-based approaches. As a therapist, Benjamin helps his clients by offering supportive and honest feedback, while also prioritizing emotional safety.
