Jacob Ventricelli, LAC, NCC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor and National Certified Counselor who earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey and Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. Jacob has several years of experience working with Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders as well as children and adolescents within community services.
Jacob has clinical experience including coordinating programs in mental health and addiction services in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization program (PHP), and outpatient detox settings. His past work has encompassed individual therapy, family and couple’s sessions, group therapy, case management, and interdisciplinary coordination of client care. He has worked with diverse populations ranging from children (6+) to older adults (65+).
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Ecological Systems Theory, Jacob takes an integrative and flexible approach tailored to your individual needs. Jacob is also deeply influenced by humanistic principles, seeing individuals as a whole person with the capacity for growth, meaning, and self-determination. His goal is to make therapy a collaborative journey rooted in curiosity, empathy, and the belief that change is always possible. He is currently under the supervision of Courtney Anderson-Harvey, LCSW, CGP.
