Biography for Kaitlyn Winkler, LAC

Kaitlyn Winkler, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of New Jersey. Kaitlyn received her Master’s in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology from Siena College.

Kaitlyn has experience in working with those who struggle with anxiety, OCD, interpersonal challenges, grief, depression, and difficulty adjusting to life changes. She has experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Kaitlyn uses an eclectic therapeutic approach pulling from theoretical frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic. Additionally, she has experience providing exposure response prevention (ExPR) for OCD. Kaitlyn endorses a collaborative approach to therapy where clients feel comfortable and empowered to make change.

Prior to working at ITI-NJ, Kaitlyn was a counselor on a crisis call hotline. She also has years of experience working with children in educational settings. When not working, Kaitlyn enjoys baking, hiking, crafting, and reading.
