Mohamed Bahader, LAC

Mohamed Bahader, NCC, LAC, is a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey and a National Certified Counselor. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from the City University of New York and his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. He is also EMDR-trained and has experience working with individuals and families in both clinical and educational settings.

Mohamed has supported diverse populations facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, identity development, and relational conflict. His therapeutic style is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and respect for each client’s story. He draws from evidence-based modalities like EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered approaches to promote healing and growth.

Rooted in the wellness model, Mohamed’s trauma-informed and culturally responsive care aims to address immediate concerns while also cultivating lasting emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being.

He views therapy as a collaborative process and works with clients to build personalized roadmaps for healing—centered on their strengths, values, and lived experiences. His goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can thrive. Mohamed is currently practicing under the clinical supervision of Belinda Amatekpor, LPC.
