Lisa Listo, MA, Ed.S, LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s degree in School Counseling and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Professional Counseling from Seton Hall University. She brings over five years of experience in school counseling, having served both as a counselor and as the Director of School Counseling for adolescents ages 13 to 18. In addition to her work in schools, Lisa has provided mental health support in a variety of clinical settings throughout New Jersey.
Lisa specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. She works with clients across the lifespan, always bringing a deep sense of empathy, authenticity, and understanding to the therapeutic relationship. Lisa is committed to meeting clients where they are, recognizing that each person enters therapy with different levels of readiness. She believes that effective counseling is never one-size-fits-all, and tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of every individual.
Her goal is to help clients reclaim their sense of power and autonomy. Lisa provides a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard—without judgment, bias, or fear of consequence. She values authenticity in the counseling relationship and believes that genuine connection is essential to meaningful progress. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, Lisa gently guides clients toward greater self-awareness and personal growth, helping them begin their journey of healing and transformation. She is currently working under the supervision of Aileen Torres, LPC, as she continues her path toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
