Kimberly Lin Molfetto, M.A., LAC, uses psychodynamic, strengths-based, and humanistic approaches to psychotherapy. She facilitates a therapeutic space for people to engage in meaningful work—whether that involves symptom management, self-discovery, or improving relational dynamics. She uses a person-centered and compassionate approach to understand people’s inner and outer worlds and to help them lead more fulfilling and healthier lives.
Kimberly believes the therapeutic relationship between herself and the people she treats is paramount to successful collaborative work, and her authenticity and humility are cornerstones to her connections with others. While rooted in psychoanalytic and relational frameworks, Kimberly integrates mindfulness and CBT techniques to provide a holistic, adaptable approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs.
Kimberly has experience treating various disorders and individuals across the lifespan and across different cultures and identities, including the LGBTQ+ population, persons of color, and other minoritized people. For example, she specializes in treating mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, developmental disabilities, and complex trauma. She has worked in college counseling settings, at Columbia University Psychoanalytic Center, and in hospital settings. She currently trains undergraduate students to work in the field of Human Services in Brooklyn.
Kimberly is completing her Ph.D. studies at Seton Hall University in Counseling Psychology. She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2016 and is passionate about contributing to a more just world by helping individuals improve their holistic well-being. Kimberly is under the supervision of Alexa Paclarin, LPC.
