Noor Qayyum, MA LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Noor earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and HR (BA) from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Currently, Noor is on the path to obtaining the required hours to become an LCSW through supervised experience here at ITI-NJ.
Noor has experience with a variety of clients–from her time working at elementary schools in school-based therapy services, to focusing on young adults in private practices. She has worked with a plethora of populations, including children, young adults, AAPI communities, and the LGBTQ+ community. Coming from a diverse background herself, Noor is committed to diversity and inclusion, believing that they are essential components of providing adequate care to clients.
When it comes to therapeutic sessions, Noor wants to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all her clients. By using a blend of frameworks, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Noor is able to support clients in living a healthy lifestyle while maintaining a judgment free environment. Noor has a passion for the arts and enjoys incorporating artistic aspects into her sessions. Noor is under the supervision of Gayle Brown, LCSW.
