Jacklin Aydin, LPC is a licensed professional counselor who received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Jacklin has experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families in individual and group therapy settings.
Her years of experience working in adult and adolescent partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs have provided her with experience in crisis intervention, symptom stabilization, and relapse prevention. She also has experience working in traditional outpatient and providing in-home therapy to adolescents and their families. Jacklin is skilled in helping clients work through depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, interpersonal stressors, trauma, and co-occurring disorders of mental health.
Jacklin believes in providing therapy that fits the individual’s needs. She is able to assess and work collaboratively with the client in identifying their goals for therapy. Depending on the client’s needs, Jacklin incorporates talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy skills, and family involvement. Through her calm and supportive nature, she is able to create a safe environment by actively listening and building rapport. She will then guide you through the process of healing and personal growth whether by increasing self-awareness, processing through emotional pain, changing thoughts and behaviors, and/or implementing healthy coping skills.
